Truth Over Tradition
Rejecting empty rituals, reaching out in balance, and standing firm in a world at war with men of faith.
This week, I’ve been reflecting on the steady rhythm of faith, discipline, and brotherhood. From Matthew 15’s call to reject empty traditions and walk in truth, to the awe of the transfiguration reminding me of Christ’s glory, to the daily grind of staying sober and showing up for family. My journals this week have been a mix of humility and determination. It has been a journey of pressing forward even when mornings feel rushed, and finding strength in identity and purpose.
Group Highlights:
We’ve seen amazing wins this week, especially in how men are showing up for each other through accountability meet-ups, prayer, and consistency in the small things that matter. Congratulations to everyone leaning into the process and building momentum.

This week, let’s dive into the Compass Right Point: Balance.
Our challenge is simple but powerful. Reach out to three people via text or phone and ask how they have been. Balance is about being present for others as much as it is about finding peace in our own lives. This practice strengthens relationships, encourages brothers who may be struggling in silence, and builds a culture of presence instead of passivity. Lead by reaching out.
Current Events:
In light of recent events, we are seeing a perfect storm of challenges hitting men from every direction. RFK Jr.'s sobering reminder that America became the sickest country in the world is not just about physical health. It reflects a deeper spiritual and cultural sickness we are witnessing daily.
We have engaged with hundreds of posts this week covering everything from men discovering old intimate content on their wives’ devices and threatening divorce, to 32-year-old guys trapped in decade-long porn addiction cycles that have derailed their education and careers. We are seeing marriages collapse because husbands are more interested in their phones during dinner than their wives’ hearts, while other men are learning that biblical leadership means serving sacrificially, not manipulating through authority.
The spiritual battles are intensifying too. Men wrestling with overwhelming shame trying to return to God. Abuse survivors questioning whether forgiveness is even possible. Christians facing increasing hostility from a world that hates truth. We are watching guys struggle with food addiction driven by brain chemistry they do not understand, alongside the painful reality that many voices giving advice would benefit if men stayed exactly where they are.
But here is the encouragement. In every one of these conversations, men are hungry for real answers, biblical truth, and authentic community. The world may be at war with Christianity, but that is because it is true. Men are starting to recognize that the gradual-then-sudden transformation God promises is worth fighting for. It is important that we stay connected and support each other through these battles.
